Do you have an emergency kit ready for just-in-case? I do, but I admit, I need to stock up on more water and some more emergency food, to make mine a little more complete.

Some of you have already packed your emergency kits for when your family has everything from cuts and bruises to headaches. A few more of you may have kits ready for natural disasters like floods, hurricanes, electrical storms, etc. filled with enough food to feed your family for a month. Then there’s someone like me, who is also stocking up on essential oils…just in case.

Before you start scratching your head and thinking I am a crazy lady, imagine if the pharmacies, clinics and hospitals weren’t open during a natural disaster. What if they do not have power or back-up generators to last long enough to keep them a viable option. Don’t get me wrong, I also have things set aside like water, food, blankets, band-aids, etc. But my essential oil kit is what I could not be without and I think everyone should include one into their arsenal for anything that might come up.

Here’s how my essential oil kit looks:

Peppermint for anything from head & body tension to tummy troubles. Peppermint is also a great mood lifter and a stimulator, and this little oil will come in handy during stressful times;

Lavender for any type of wound help to helping promote peaceful sleeping and also to calm anxious feelings;

Lemon to use in the water to help cleanse both the water and inside our bodies;

Frankincense & Myrrh for the skin and to help calm any skin irritants. Myrrh is also highly antiparasitic and antispasmodic. Frankincense helps with stressful situations and is also known to fight pain and inflammation. Also both would be great to have on hand to trade with, in case of a non-currency situation. Because, there may not be any banks open or active either;

Clove & Cinnamon for their antiseptic properties for cleaning and helping support the immune system. Clove is also great to help with teeth issues;

Melaleuca to use as a first aid type ointment and to help maintain a healthy immune system and also things like bug bites, fungus issues and maintaining healthy airways;

And last but not least, Oregano to clean with, help keep away any pests, help support immune function and to use as a natural mouthwash.

Essential oils can help you during emergencies and non-emergencies. They often times require a several application process, but as you read above, there are a host of oils that can be a phenomenal natural way you can help your family to get through a crisis.

As I always try to keep you informed and I am truthful with my knowledge. I am advising you to not to use essential oils topically, aromatically or internally where you do not have a 100% pure and natural guarantee with a very reliable source. Purity is key in order to maintain your family’s safety and health. Especially when it comes to essential oil usage. You want to look for a company that maintains efficacy and the highest standards of purity, because the FDA does not regulate them. In many cases, if you buy essential oils with “CAUTION” on the label, they are most likely NOT pure and you should not come into contact with them. Basically, they could be putting anything inside that bottle and it could do the exact opposite of what the desired outcome should be. I say this because the education of these oils is something I hope to help to provide to as many people as I come in contact with, every single day. I am more than happy to share the information and the education with you. Feel free to write to me with your questions. My email information is below.

Remember: Essential oils can help you during emergencies and non-emergencies. They just often times require a several application process instead of an instantaneous fix. But they are a phenomenal natural way you can help your family to get through a small or large crisis.
