It has been over 4 years since the last time we met up with Nature’s Chemistry for our June 2019 cover edition. Since that time, not a lot has changed. The same four local owners/operators are running the show making sure the product that hits the shelves is top quality and a great experience for the consumer. “We are still trying to improve every day and I don’t think we will ever stop,” says head grower and co-owner Jason Yazdanpanah. “We have a great team that comes to work every day and helps keep the train moving in the right direction,” he added.
There has not been much turnover at Nature’s Chemistry which is evident by the familiar faces from the last time we visited. Nature’s Chemistry employs a very diverse staff of 53% female and 73% racially or sexually diverse. Diversity in the workplace is something they have strived for since day one. The ownership structure is also very diverse. One thing that this team is proud of is the fact that they were able to keep people working during Covid. “It was a tremendous challenge, but it was important to us to make sure everyone was able to receive a work paycheck and provide for their families during that rough time.” says co-owner Ari Yazdanpanah. Family atmosphere and comradery is quite present as one walks the corridors and rooms of the NC facility. There is no surprise as to why they are able to produce such great flower, as this belief system resonates to all aspects of their business. It is easy to see that NC will have the same core for a long time to come.
What was first considered a “new” industry is not so “new” anymore. Many things have changed in the marketplace which has brought many challenges to companies. One of them is the influx of multiple brands that have flooded the market. Although this has been challenging, Nature’s Chemistry has continued to stick to customer loyalty and putting out a consistent product. “We value our relationships with our customers, dispensaries, and production facilities. They are the driving force behind our product” says co-owner Andy Hitchcock. Nature’s Chemistry has also been doing a lot to give back. They recently partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project and will be presenting them a check for a promotion they ran with local dispensaries during the month of July. Giving back is important to them. The four owners have been part of this community for over 40 years. All four attended high school in Las Vegas and two of them graduated from UNLV. They have experienced first-hand the growth of our wonderful city and the excitement that has come along with it. “This was actually a small town when we were kids. Although the population has skyrocketed, there is still a great sense of community in Las Vegas” says co-owner Alex Amelburu.
Nature’s Chemistry has worked very hard to build a brand which is widely recognized in our state. They seem to be doing so many things right which is a testament to their exceptional quality flower and consistency. They have built a brand that they can be proud of, which is a good indication of why their flower is in almost every dispensary throughout the state. NC vows to continue to work hard, be diligent, adapt and be conscious of the needs of their community, vendors and staff while continuing to be one of the top brands in the state.
